2024 comments: The tree dropped a large branch in September 2023, which instigated an arborist inspection. The decision was made to perform weight reduction pruning in April 2024 around the periphery of the crown to lessen the risk of future branch failure. This pruning did not appreciably affect the size or score of the tree when it was remeasured in August 2024. Height of trunk circumference measurement was established 4.5 feet above ground level on NE side of the tree, just outside the root plate on unheaved ground. Crown spread was measured using the radial spoke method on cardinal and intercardinal directions.
